The new expansion to the ever popular MMO World of Warcraft, Warlords of Draenor, has been announced. With this new exspansion comes plenty of new features, updated character models, and a new level cap. You can view the preview trailer below:
The trailer boasts plenty of new features. First is a new level cap--players will now be able to level up to level 100. Interestingly, for those that want to jump into the new expansion without grinding up to the current cap of level 90, Blizzard allows you to upgrade one character to level 90, allowing you to play the new content immediately. It's important to note, however, that you can only do this once.
Also new to WoW is the addition of Garrisons. Blizzard goes into great detail about the new addition, but essentially Garrisons are individually owned home bases that you can customise to suit your needs. You'll also be able to recruit followers that you can send on missions that gain levels as they do so, increasing their abilities and success rate.
Warlords of Draenor also introduces a new world to the game... or rather, a similar world in the past. This expansion takes you to the past of Draenor, before the world became the Outland that was introduced in the Burning Crusades expansion. You can explore seven new zones, filled with quests and other interesting things to do. You can see a preview of some of the zones below:
There is no release date for Warlords of Draenor yet, but you can check out the official website to get a closer look at what the expansion has to offer.
